Pandavas separates from Kauravas

Episode#21

During Draupadi's Swayamwara, powerful Yadavas came in large numbers with Rich gifts to attend the marriage. The Pandavas were duly recognized that they are alive and now it was right time for them to return Hastinapur after having an additional female member in the family.

Thus, Bhisma Pitamah advised Dhritarashtra to invite Pandavas to Hastinapur and offer them half kingdom as per the norms. Vidura also emphasised the necessity of doing so until more brides entered the home and divide the brothers.

Dhritarashtra agreed to give them half the kingdom but it was a deceitful promise - he kept Hastinapur, the hereditary capital, for himself and his sons and he offered Pandavas the land known as 'Khandav-Prasth' which was fully covered with dense forests and swarming with ferocious wild animals, snakes and no human being dared to step in.

Duryodhana objected to share his inheritance with his cousins, by arguing with Vidura that "Pandavas are not the true sons of Pandu, they are conceived by the law of niyoga through other men, truly speaking, our is the royal blood line."

Vidura explained, "No, you are unaware of the actual facts, I shall make them known to you, King Shantanu's blood flows only in Bhisma Pitamah, neither Pandu nor Dhritarashtra belongs to original blood line, they are the offspring of Vyasa's seeds nurtued in the wombs of the Princess of Kashi, besides Pandu was crowned as a King before your father Dhritarashtra, hence there is no room for arguments."

He further clarified "Yudhishtira should be the next king, as he is the eldest grandchild of Vichitravirya" after which Duryodhana finally agreed to give some deserted land to Pandavas to form their separate kingdom to avoid their interference in any way.

After Draupadi's Swayamwara, Duryodhana wish to marry Subhadra intensified and decided to send a message to Guru Balarama accordingly, but then he thought otherwise and planned to go to Mathura without involving any of his family members not even his parents, while leaving, he confided to his uncle Sakuni about his secret tour to Mathura to fix his marriage with Subhadra.
