Mahabharata war - Day 1

Episode#55 The First Day of the battle reverberated with the cumulative sounds of kettledrums, trumpets, horns and conch that made sky ring their clamour. Horses neighed, elephants charged as they trumpeted loud and the warriors shouted their "lion roars" Arrows flew in the air like burning meteors. Father and sons, uncles and nephews slew one another - oblivious of their age old affection and blood-ties. It was heinous and horrendous form that very well defined a terrible blood soaked carnage - nothing less than it...! Episode#44 The war clouds gathered swiftly in the sky - the sky was painted with orange and golden hues which would soon turn crimson red by sunset. Dhrishtadyumna, Draupadi twin brother and the son of king Drupada was appointed the Commander-in-chief of the Pandavas army.
