Shocking confession of Draupadi...!

Episode#34

As Pandavas drew close to twelve years of exile, one day Draupadi was roaming in the garden, she saw a jambun hanging low on the tree, she plucked it and voice came from the tree "what have you done? This jambun is hanging here for past twelve years, behind this tree a Rishi is performing tapasya from last twelve years, today is the final day, in the evening he will open his eyes and eat this fruit, his first meal after twelve years, now you polluted the fruit by touching it, now what he will eat, he will remain hungry, the sin of leaving him hungry will be yours."

Draupadi was regretting and she called her husbands and asked them to fix that jambun back on the tree but all showed their inability to do so? Tree roared "if you are faithful Draupadi, you could have done it with the power of your chastity" Draupadi replied "I am faithful although I have five husbands, I am faithful to one brother who is allowed to share a bed with me for a year."

"Draupadi you like, there is someone to whom you loved more than your husbands" replied the tree. Draupadi was embarrassed to discuss her personal feelings in front of her five husbands, however she replied that "she loved Krishna as her friend and not as her lover." There was someone else and Draupadi was reluctant to utter his name, she didn't want that rishi to go hungry and so he revealed the secret she was almost into the tears and said "I love Karna, I regret not marrying him due to his low caste, if I had married to him, I would not been gamble away and not been publicly humiliated and I would not been called a whore." After revealing the truth she had been cleansed, she now able to fix the jambun on the tree. That evening rishi opened his eyes after twelve years of his tapasya, he took a bath in the nearby river, ate that jambun and blessed chaste Draupadi.

The confession of Draupadi was a shock to the Pandavas, they were not angry on Draupadi but ashamed on themselves, they realize that they all have failed to protect her pride and dignity.
