Episode#36
Duryodhana was extremely delighted that he would banish the Pandavas into exile for another thirteen years and forfeit their rights to the throne.
In order to catch Pandavas red-handed, Duryodhana attacked Maytsa Kingdom. Arjuna posed as the charioteer of Prince Uttara (son of king Virata) and defended the Prince single handedly from the powerful Karna, Bhisma, Drona and Duryodhana.
At length, Arjuna released three arrows, one at Bhisma Pitamah feet and another at Drona feet, seeking blessings from two of them, and third one to put entire army of Kauravas into sleep.
Arjuna instructed Prince Uttara to collect the mantles of the fallen Kuru hero's as mementos of their success and when they will wake up, they will know that I have spared their lives and they will go humiliated - then they blew the conch of victory!
With this defeat Duryodhana's rage knew no bounds, he sent message to Yudhishtira that they were recognized during their year of agayatavasa and hence they should repeat the thirteen years exile again.
Yudhishtira rejoinder that the Pandavas completed thirteen years the very moment when Arjuna twanged his Gandiva bow and put the Kuru army to sleep was like a stinging slap bringing in different reactions - Duryodhana fumed, Dusshasana raged and king Dhritarashtra saw the crown slipping away again from their hands, the Pandavas would return and retrieve their kingdom once again.
When King Virata recognized the Pandavas, he apologized to them and stated that whatever shortcomings had happened were due to ignorance. He was immensely pleased with Arjuna archery skills and offered his daughter Uttari to marry Arjuna, but Arjuna refused saying that she was his pupil and would be more befitting as his daughter-in-law, thus when Pandavas emerged from exile, he gifted Uttari to his son Abhimanyu and both got married.
At the time of war of Kurukshetra, Abhimanyu second wife Uttari was pregnant, the child was later known as King Parikshit, the only descendent of the Pandavas after the war.
