Duryodhana refused Lord Krishna proposal to return Indraprashta...

Episode#40

When the exile period of 13 years was over, Vasudev Krishna (as a representative of the Pandavas) headed to Hastinapur and demanded the rightful share of the kingdom, despite of his wife Bhanumati and son Laxmana Kumar pleading for peace, Duryodhana went back on his words and refused to give back there kingdom Indraprashta. The refusal culminated into Mahabharata war that lasted for 18 days in the battlefield of Kurukshetra.

Duryodhana avenged Krishna for not allowing him to marry Subhadra by refusing the peace-pact, if Duryodhana has married to Subhadra and his son to Vatsala - he would have willingly accepted Vasudev Krishna proposal of returning Indraprashta to Pandavas and this great war of Mahabharata could have been averted.

Even after his marriage Duryodhana couldn't forget his first interaction with Subhadra at the bank of Yamuna river, he cannot forget her beautiful face and voluptuous body lying on the stone drenched in a single cloth, he still reminisced over the urge to take her in his arms, hold tightly and never let her go.

Mahabharata hands over a score of love stories - Bhima loved Draupadi, Draupadi loved Arjuna, Arjuna loved Subhadra while Subhadra loved Duryodhana! The same pattern repeated in the next generation too - Samba loved Laxmani, Laxmani loved Abhimanyu, Abhimanyu loved Vatsala and Vatsala loved Laxmana Kumar.

Duryodhana now sought revenge for his unfulfilled love story...!

Mahabharata war - Day 15 Fall of Acharya Drona.

Episode#69 On the fifteenth day, the war did not cease even after the sunset but continued as mentioned before in Torchlight. The Kurukshetra field presented strange sight with burning torches - the generals and soldiers on both the sides we're engaged in battle, thousands of torches burnt and were used as signals, devised for night time. Ghatotkacha and his troops of demons (who are stronger at night) found darkness an additional advantage and violently attacked Duryodhana army. Mahabharata war - Day 14 Fall of Jayadratha

Episode#68 News of Arjuna's oath reached the enemy. The spies informed Duryodhana that Arjuna, having learnt that Jayadratha was the cause of Abhimanyu death, had vowed to kill Jayadratha before sunset the next day. Vriddhakshatra, the illustrious King of Sindhi's was blessed with a son Jayadratha. During his breath, a voice was heard to say: "This prince will attain great glory in the happy regions above after being slain in the battle. One who, among the warriors of all ages, ranks among the most illustrious, will in the field of battle shall get his head severed from the body."
