Preparations begins of Great War of Mahabharata...!

Episode#44

The war clouds gathered swiftly in the sky - the sky was painted with orange and golden hues which would soon turn crimson red by sunset.

Dhrishtadyumna, Draupadi twin brother and the son of king Drupada was appointed the Commander-in-chief of the Pandavas army. Yuyutsu son of Dhritarashtra begotten by his maid defected the Laura as and joined the Pandavas.

Duryodhana requested Bhisma Pitamah to be the commander-in-chief of the Kauravas army since he was aware that Pitamah was blessed with two boons - first that he would not meet death at the hands of a man and secondly he could choose his own moment of death wishful death.

Bhisma Pitamah agreed to be the commander-in-chief on two conditions: first that he would not kill any of the Pandavas even if the entire Kauravas army was destroyed since both Kauravas and Pandavas are dear to him and second that he would fight the war only if Karna refrained from stepping into the battlefield. Duryodhana had no choice but to agree to both the terms.

That day of battle dawned - almost all the kings of Bharat Varsh presented themselves siding up Kauravas side or Pandavas. There happened to be seven divisions on the Pandavas side headed by Dhrishtadyuma and eleven divisions on the Kauravas headed by Bhisma Pitamah.

Each division was termed as "Akshouhini"
Which comprised of 21,870 charioteers with their chariots; 21,870 elephants and riders; 65,610 horses with horse riders and 109,350 infantry-troops (foot-soldiers). The total number of warriors on both sides was about 40 million and every division was led by their commander-in-chief who carried the conch-shell trumpet which he demonstrate to motivate the soldiers.

Episode#69 On the fifteenth day, the war did not cease even after the sunset but continued as mentioned before in Torchlight. The Kurukshetra field presented strange sight with burning torches - the generals and soldiers on both the sides we're engaged in battle, thousands of torches burnt and were used as signals, devised for night time.
