Conversation between Krishna and Arjuna

Episode#47

Krishna replied "Have you forgotten that they abused your wife's modesty in the Royal court and also encroached upon your kingdom? You have to fight for justice; it is your duty as a Kshatriya" He continued "And where does this nobility come from? Is it generosity or fear; wisdom or ignorance or just cowardice?"

Arjuna replied "Oh Vasudev Krishna how can my devotion to my guru be termed as cowardice? How can you deem my devotion to my grand uncle Bhisma Pitamah as an illusion? I can hear the cries of widows and children and my ears cannot bear those sound of wailing and weeping women! My heart tells me there is no need of this war, how can you designate me as a coward? I don't want to fight a war in which I no longer believe! Please try to understand me Vasudev Krishna."

Krishna replied "Arjuna, you will bring shame to all the warriors by refusing to do your rightful duties as a Kshatriya. There is nothing greater for a Kshatriya than to wage the war for righteousness, even the high-heavens wait for the brave Kshatriya who dies on the battlefields."

"Duryodhana has never followed the path of righteousness, all his actions are guilt and fear ridden from the sins he has committed in unison with Sakuni, Dusshasana and Karna like trying to burn you all in the House of Wax, by outrageously humiliating Draupadi modesty, cheating in the dice game - these are such sins have not been committed by Pandavas any time.

His actions originated from fear and jealousy; he rejects those who threaten him. The purpose of the war is not for you, Arjuna, but for the world at large to adopt civilized human conduct. The point is not to win or lose the war, the point is not to kill enemies and acquire their lands, this war is to establish righteousness and in doing so discover the soul. That is why I am here on Earth as your charioteer; to guide you to the path of righteousness to remind all the humans of moral values and milk human kindness (compassion) which can lead them towards righteousness!

This attempt will not be in vain if one is able to discern the intellectual path that leads to the soul, away from the ego! Every time man feels lost and confused and succumbs to his ego, he created a spate of ill doings and misgivings that are not befitting to the human race! I come to this Earth to set things right. This has happened before and shall continue to happen again! This is the sole mission of my different incarnation."

To be continued...
