Urvashi
Urvashi was a Royal courtesan in the court of Indra. She decided to defend to the earth and savour the taste of the lifestyle prevailed there.
While returning from this fantasy trip in the wee hours, an evil Asura (Demon) kidnapped her, Pururavas the son of Budh & Illa the first lunar king (chandravanshi) was passing and chased the demon in hot pursuit on his chariot.
He freed Urvashi from demon's clutches, she slipped, he caught her hand, this brief moment wherein their fingers touched, it was first time Urvashi experienced the warmth of human flesh and was strongly fascinated by it, Pururavas was equally drawn to her.
Pururavas proposed her to marry and she agreed to marry him with 3 conditions. First she would bring 2 goats and their saftey had to be ensured. Second she will consume only clarified butter and third they should never see each other naked except while making love. The day any condition is voilated, she would return back for the heavens and Pururavas agreed and they started living in Gandhamadan gardens.
The God in heaven dislike her absence, they planned to retrieve her by all means. They plan to steal the goats at middle of the night, goats started bleating out of fear, the noise woke up Urvashi asked king to save them, Pururavas was totally naked got us in hurry, due to darkness he lit the fire and both saw naked each other, during whole commotion, she forgot to consume her daily regimen of ghee diet. Thus all her conditions faced a breach, she was forced to return to heavens with a heavy heart.
The king was shattered, she was carrying his child and ask him to meet after a year, Urvashi came again and again to the earth and bore six sons to him - her eldest son Ayu married to Prabha - Ayu had 5 sons and 1 daughter, Nahusha was the eldest who ascended the throne of Prathisthan married to his step sister Virja. They begot 6 sons out of them Yayati was the Puranic King the son of Nahusha who was one of the ancestors of Pandavas and Kauravas.
