What Duryodhana thinks seeing Abhimanyu...

Episode#53

Standing on his chariot, Duryodhana cited the young prince Abhimanyu (son of Subhadra and Arjuna) and remembered fondly the memories of his first adolescent love with Subhadra!

It was due to Vasudev Krishna that instead of marrying him, she married to his enemy Arjuna! Duryodhana remembered Subhadra had come to meet him near the lake last night; she was looking very pretty and beautiful, she requested him not to kill her son Abhimanyu but without replying or offering any kind of commitment, he had left abruptly.

Today, he stood on the battlefield he thought he does not have any animosity against the young kid, why would he kill him? But if at all he gets killed in this war,
will he be able to see Subhadra crying over her son's dead body? Duryodhana was in no mood to fight this war but now he had no choice! Was there not a single soul who could avert this war?

Duryodhana - a trifle reluctantly blew the conch-shell loudly followed by Pitamah thunderous voice "ATTACK" posing as the curtain raiser for the Great Mahabharata War!

Why Sakuni did not want Duryodhana to marry Subhadra?

Episode#22 The cunning Sakuni knew that if Duryodhana married Subhadra then it would be impossible to forsake revenge and destroy Kuru dynasty, as Vasudev Krishna would not resort to any measures that would go against his sister Subhadra nor would take any step that would harm his paternal cousins - the Pandavas!
